What is it like to work in Subcontract Administration ?

Supply Chain's vision is to enable customer and mission success through supply chain strategies and execution that deliver superior operational program performance and create competitive advantage through continuous improvement. It is our mission to deliver affordable supply chain solutions that meet all program requirements and manage supply chain risks to ensure positive supplier performance through all phases of the program life-cycle from capture to sustainment.

What does this role look like?

This position primarily is responsible for the placement and management of subcontracts in support of various programs within the Mission Solutions Line of Business. You can also expect to support projects and activities outside of your traditional "job jar," as opportunity presents and as directed by management.

This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

Specific duties involve procuring a variety of items from contract labor services to major hardware systems, typically including significant software development efforts. The successful candidate will be able to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems independently and with limited direction or oversight.

Other responsibilities include leading negotiations, establishing teaming agreements, interpreting subcontract Statements of Work/specifications, facilitating invoice payments, and taking FULL responsibility and ownership of the procurement / subcontracting process.

You communicate clearly. You write well. You speak eloquently. You can explain just about anything to anyone and you're comfortable communicating in writing , on the phone, or in-person in front of an executive audience. Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Prior significant professional experience (>3 years) in Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Procurement, and/or Contracting.
• Prior professional experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Prior professional experience with analyzing financial data and performing financial & rate analysis.
• Prior professional experience with preparing Request for Proposal (RFP) packages, evaluating subcontract proposals, and negotiating cost/price and terms & conditions.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be successful, ideally, you should also have:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters's degree.
• Working knowledge & experience with LM Procure to Pay or SAP Ariba.
• The successful candidate will be expected to understand and effectively utilize all contract types, including fixed price, labor hour, FP-LOE, T&M, and the effective implementation of Award Fee / Incentive Fee Plans.
• This position requires the ability to work with little to no managerial direction.
• Possess a significant understanding of FAR, LMAP, and LM GSCO supply chain best practices.
• Ability to engage senior leaders as required to address challenges and resolve issues.
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership abilities and behaviors.
• Ability to mentor less experienced employees.
• Ability to perform work without appreciable direction.
• Ability to prepare for and brief executive management.
• Ability to coach and mentor less experienced employees and team members.

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $68,600 - $114,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
